299 Association was formed to provide contact between old and new comrades in arms who have achieved Airborne or Commando status within 299 Troop RE (V).
 
The Association's aims are to promote and encourage social events for all its members, and where possible relieve any hardship or distress suffered by them, or their dependents.   The association is also dedicated to promoting and maintaining contact with other Troops currently serving with 299 Parachute Engineer Squadron RE (V), 131 Independent Commando Squadron RE (V) and any Airborne or Commando association
